Home Up Flagstone Pool Construction

Step One:  We will generally layout the pool design in the
yard the same day we arrive for excavation.  We will need
you there to O.K. the final location.  Then just sit back
and watch the progress.

If there is room enough, we will use a front end loader
as you can see, to excavate the pool.excav1.jpg (106257 bytes)excav2.JPG (102547 bytes)excav3.JPG (91309 bytes)excav4.JPG (65312 bytes)

The excavation process is very important as everything
else follows it.  As you can see after the hole is just
right, we form it up as the pool design calls for.

Then we go to the next step which is laying the steel for
the structure of the pool.  This is also an important process
as we want strength added to the  concrete.

We want to be sure the steel is formed right either 8'', 10",
or 12" centers (whatever the plans call for).

Then you can see the finished steel layout.  We use all #3
rebar in the pool and #4 around beam for extra strength.
Also on deep end pools we double up on the steel for the
slope to the deep end.

After we place all return lines and skimmers in their designed
place, next comes the major part of the construction.  This
is the foundation  of the pool as the slab is for your home.
We take extra care to insure you have at least a 6" base
all over pool and at least a 12" beam all around the top.

water is added at the nozzle.  Too much water weakens the
structure.

Now you have the basic foundation for your pool.  Everything from here is just cosmetic.
Tile, Coping, Plaster, Decking are all components that can be modified easily.
